Hello | Hola | Dumela | Akwaaba | Alo

Community engagement is a crucial condition for successful interventions that develop sustainable peace. Locally-developed initiatives help us address the root causes of conflict, facilitate interpersonal healing, jump-start individual transformation, and directly confront stereotypes and societal rifts. Positive peace and grassroots empowerment are inseparable.

Enter my work.

I am a community peacebuilding expert working in West and Southern Africa. I co-run innovative projects with communities, governments, and civil society organizations, focusing on restorative justice, rule of law, and gender, peace, and security. You will know my work when you see it: I have a knack for developing multisectoral partnerships at the local level that design, implement, and celebrate successful peacebuilding projects.

Here on my website, I blog about community peacebuilding methodology and I tell the stories of local conflict transformation around the world. Interwoven into my posts are themes of transitional justice; rule of law; and women, peace, and security. You can also explore my projects and reach out to me with any questions or proposals for partnership.

My favorite Setswana saying goes, “Motho ke motho ka batho.” In English, this translates to mean, “I am because you are.”

Let’s communicate, collaborate, and build peace together.
