About

I am a community peacebuilding expert and conflict resolution consultant. I recently finished my service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana (2012-2015). During my tour, I ran the Kagiso Project, a school-based peer mediation and peace education initiative, and I coordinated the Ngamiland Anti-Human Trafficking Network, Botswana’s first anti-slavery organization. I also worked on gender-based violence advocacy and mainstreaming initiatives in the public health sector.

Prior to my Peace Corps service, I developed and coordinated gender equality and arbitration projects for Global Conscience Initiative, a Cameroonian non-governmental organization. My work experience also includes Liberia-focused transitional justice advocacy with African Refuge and Holocaust education with the Museum of Jewish Heritage. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in History with honors at New York University in 2010.

A trained mediator since the age of 14, I specialize in strengthening the rule of law through the mentorship and instruction of traditional arbitrators, formal law enforcement actors, and community members on alternate dispute resolution. I also address issues of women, peace, and security by developing local female social and political leadership capacity and conducting public sensitization on gender equality and gender-based violence. Reconciliation and transitional justice figure prominently into my work through inclusive dialogue, memorialization, and peace education.

I am a native of Brooklyn, New York, a proud Italian-American, and a passionate New York Yankees fan. In my spare time, I teach yoga and meditation classes, read voraciously, and enjoy the company of my loved ones.
